When the Moon Finds the Voice!
A Musing on the Full Moon Illumination of My Gemini Sun
over the past 9 years I have been diving deeply into astrology. Initially it was to discover more about myself rather than anything else. To discover why I did what I did and explore what was nature and what was nurture. In that journey I discovered that Astrology was about way more than sunday paper star signs and way more ancient than I had ever realised, for me what was happening in the sky stopped being symbolic and became startlingly personal.
I discovered I was born under Full Moon energy and have been working consciously with the full moon energy for more than 8 years now through my breathwork circles..
The reality is that a lunation doesn’t just happen in the heavens, it also happens in your bones! Your cells and every atom of your being! And each full moon carries an energetic frequency, this is something the ancient Egyptians knew and run their lives by the lunar calendar and it’s frequencies.
This Full Moon in Gemini carries a particular frequency!
It taps the mind, the nervous system, the voice, the stories we tell about ourselves, and the stories we have inherited from everyone else. Gemini is ruled by Mercury the messenger of the gods.
For me this lunation has been profound in many ways, my birth chart has literally been activated by the Grand Square, and in that illuminating the very sign in which my Sun was born, which means something more personal is happening.
This Gemini Full Moon has helped me find my voice! It’s the point where my emotional body is standing face to face with my life-force and the truth rises from within, unfiltered! Revealing all the places where I have split myself into fragments tending to others, carrying their pain, rearranging my life around their storms all begins to shake loose. This process began some time ago but the results are culminating now through the conscious choices being made.
Gemini asks:
What truly belongs to you? And what never did?
This Full Moon falls close enough, (within a 4 degree orb), to my natal Sun that the message has been unmistakable:
It is time to reclaim my original voice! Not the one shaped by survival or responsibility, not the one softened to keep the peace, not the one told to be quiet, be appropriate and stay small. But the first voice! My soul’s voice! The voice of my essential self!
The voice that sees beyond the obvious and speaks from the inner worlds where truth is born!
Over the past months since the May New Moon in the same sign, and through the September eclipse season that cracked open the entire communication axis, life has rearranged itself in ways I could not have anticipated.
Responsibilities have shifted. Family patterns intensified. Roles dissolved and reformed. And an inner calling grew louder than all of it. My understanding is that:
Gemini is the threshold where voice and identity meet.
Sagittarius, its opposite, is the place of direction and devotion.
Together they have been undoing everything I believed about who I needed to be for others.
This Full Moon says:
“You are no longer the messenger of other people’s emergencies.
You are the messenger of your own soul.”
And so during this full moon I stood under a sky that mirrors my own transformation, allowing the noise to fall away. Allowing my nervous system to empty and soften. Allowing the truth to rise without shrinking it. And Allowing myself to choose one path, the one that aligns with the voice I was always meant to speak from.
This is the Full Moon where my Sun is seen clearly!
